Fareham, Segensworth, Portchester, Hedge End

£23-26k+

A great opportunity has arisen to join a well-established events management company as a

Marketing & Events Organiser. The role will involve supporting various clients, project managing all

aspects of their events, marketing and membership.


Some working away from home is required as you will manage the live events you organise and there will be site visits, and off-site meetings during the planning stages.


In addition to in-house training, you will attend regular external marketing training events to gain new skills to support you in this role.


Role and responsibilities:
Event Planning

  • Event planning from concept to completion, ensuring the clients objectives are met
  • Responsible for the flow of information between Directors, Clients and the team
  • Attending client planning meetings, site visits and abstract review meetings
  • To source and book suitable venues, negotiating on behalf of clients, liaising with caterers, suppliers, exhibition contractors and other suppliers as required
  • Attending events to provide organisational support and oversee logistics
  • Production of event brochures and exhibition manuals
Marketing

  • Produce and deliver client marketing strategies/plans
  • Creation of social media posts for clients and the company including Twitter and Instagram and other advertising media
  • Website management; keeping up to date and visible on Google.
  • Production of marketing materials, including flyers, newsletters, online advertising, and other marketing collateral
Membership Management

  • Taking and dealing with member enquiries in an efficient and timely manner.

Skills and requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role involving events
  • Marketing qualifications preferred, but not essential.
  • At least 12 months experience in Marketing, including social media.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent planning, time management and organisational skill
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to always maintain complete confidentiality.
  • A fast learner with a hunger and willingness to learn.
  • A resultsdriven individual

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
