My well-established Distribution client are looking for a Purchasing Assistant / Inventory Planner to join their team on a full time and permanent basis due to an increase in business.
Duties:

- Manage inventory to maximise stock availability.
- Updating system with quotations, purchases and amendments.
- Schedule & progress stock
- Monitor changes in demand with customers.
- Monitoring of aged, excess, and obsolete stock.
- Identify customer needs and providing an efficient customer service.
- Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
- Providing advice to customers in relation to lead times, pricing, demand, market conditions.
- Deal with customer complaints and providing solutions.
- Build excellent relationships with key suppliers / contacts.
- Purchasing administration including goodsin, pricing, supplier performance.

- Essential you have worked within purchasing, inventory control or planning.
- Must have excellent time management, organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers / customers.
- Essential you have intermediate MS Excel skills.
