My well-established Distribution client are looking for a Purchasing Assistant / Inventory Planner to join their team on a full time and permanent basis due to an increase in business.

Duties:
-


  • Manage inventory to maximise stock availability.
  • Updating system with quotations, purchases and amendments.
  • Schedule & progress stock
  • Monitor changes in demand with customers.
  • Monitoring of aged, excess, and obsolete stock.
  • Identify customer needs and providing an efficient customer service.
  • Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Providing advice to customers in relation to lead times, pricing, demand, market conditions.
  • Deal with customer complaints and providing solutions.
  • Build excellent relationships with key suppliers / contacts.
  • Purchasing administration including goodsin, pricing, supplier performance.

  • Essential you have worked within purchasing, inventory control or planning.
  • Must have excellent time management, organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers / customers.
  • Essential you have intermediate MS Excel skills.
