My manufacturing client are expanding due to acquisition & merger. They are looking for a qualified HR Manager to set up the UK centralised HR function within the UK. This is a new and exciting position for someone who is ready to take on a new challenge.
The role will be based in Telford with some travel to the Wolverhampton site.

The purpose of the role is toimplement the UK HR department following the merger of two companies in line with the company who has acquired them.

To work to given HR processes and develop them in accordance with current laws and local regulations and supportDirectors of each area to develop their team.

Duties:
-

Be part of the Management Group for the company and be responsible for HRrelated issues.
Be part of the group's HR group and pursue issues locally linked to decisions made there
Implementation of UK HR department, including introduction of the acquiring companies' policies and organisation of merged UK companies
Participate in the local work environment and safety committee work
Establishment of all agreements (e.g., employment agreement, occupational health care)
Participate in salary issues and salary setting for new positions
Responsible for the ongoing salary audit work
Responsible for companywide HR projects (e.g. employee survey, salary mapping)
Train and coach managers
Recruitment
Employee relations

Key Skills:
-

Essential you are a qualified HR Manager and worked in the same role previously
Knowledge of HR Law and contracts is desirable
If you have experience in setting up a HR Department / Function this would be highly advantageous
HR qualification is essential
Organised, structured and focused
Outgoing personality with the ability to liaise with people at all levels and show deep respect for employees and management
Good knowledge of MS Office & HR Systems
