We are on the look out for a young, ambitious, hard working and driven individual looking to start or progress their journey as a tradesman/woman.


At SLK we provide a number of the countries leading housing developers with multi trade services to support both open sites in getting new properties completed and ready for customers to move into, as well as supporting customer service departments resolve any issues that customers may face after moving into their new home.


You will work alongside a mentor and be trained within areas of Carpentry & Joinery, Plastering, Basic Bricklaying, Tiling, Decorating & General Property Maintenance.


Ideally you will have a basic knowledge of the one or more of the above trades however this isn't essential.

General requirements to be considered for this position:_

  • Hold A Full Diving Licence & Have Access To Own Transport.
  • Under The Age Of 2
  • Be Willing To Travel Across North, East & West Midlands Daily. (Designated pick up point within close proximity to home to vehicle share whilst in training)
  • Hold or be willing to acquire a CSCS card (Paid for by SLK)

The Position_

  • Self Employed (No Holiday/Sick/Pension Pay)
  • Starting Wage between £70 £100 per day Based On Experience.
  • Tax Deducted From Source Under The CIS Scheme. (You don't have to worry about setting aside tax)
  • Solely Work Based Learning, No College Or Formal Qualification. (Nothing Compares To On The Job Learning In Real Life Situations)
  • Working Hours 8:30am 4pm Monday / Friday.
  • Workwear Supplied.
  • Basic Kit Supplied, hand tools & day to day equipment to carry out basic tasks.

  • Opportunities To Take On Freelance Work During Spare Time As A Self Employed Contractor.
