Due to growth of my clients business they are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their friendly and professional team based in Newton Aycliffe.

They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer who has knowledge of working, repairing, servicing and testing manufacturingmachines.

THE ROLE:
You job as a skilled Electrical Engineer will be to
To ensure production equipment is operating efficiently and company facilities are maintained to company standards.
Adhere to health and safety
Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety & environment regulations.

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on gearboxes, motors, inverter drives PLCs, pneumatic tools, conveyer systems and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals,manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications.

Locates the source of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing equipment.

Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools, cranes and hoists.
Controls downtime by informing production managers and workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques.

Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level anticipating the need for replacement equipment, parts and supplies, by contacting suppliers and placing orders and verifying receipt.

Carries out project work ensuring tight deadlines are met.
Prepares mechanical and electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending training courses and reviewing technical publications.
Responsible for station lockout/tag out procedures as mandated by company policy.
To mentor Apprentices.
Other related incidental work as needed.
Ensuring security and maintaining confidentiality.
Comply with and role model the organisations values and code of conduct.

For this position of Electrical Engineer, there is a rotating shift pattern which covers days and nights, as a business they try and keep working nights to a minimum so on average there will be around 7 nights (not in a row) per month to be worked.

A full yearlyrota is given at the start of your working position.

THE CANDIDATE:

Required:
City & Guilds or BTech
Applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures
Knowledge of extrusion machinery
Good communication and organisational skills
Able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work to minimise machine down time
Work well as a team or as an individual
Flexible and adaptable to the company needs
IT skill to a competent level
