    Overview of the role:

    To further support the growth and demands in the business, we are seeking an engineer that will be integral to the design and release within the electrical team to design and develop electrical circuits and harnesses for mid-Range projects.

    Your Responsibilities as a EDS Engineer (Circuit and Harness)

  • Design and development of 12 and 24 Volt vehicle Electrical systems
  • Electrical distribution system definition
  • Understanding of safety critical systems and the application to electrical systems design and specification in harsh environments
  • Circuit and harness design using Zuken E3
  • CAD routing and packaging
  • Creation of drawings and BOM in accordance with JCB standards and procedures
  • Specifying of electrical and electronic components for use in the vehicle system
  • Testing and validation of machine electrical and electronic components and systems
  • Development of technical specifications, Group Electrical Standards and instructions
  • Carrying out electrical system and installation reviews to known standards
  • Involvement in warranty investigations into electrical system components
  • Set-up and maintenance of development and validation rigsPerson
  • Educated to a minimum HND level in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • Self motivated and capable of working well both alone and as a member of a team
  • Able to demonstrate significant experience in automotive or Off Road electrical systems design
  • Able to use of Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter
  • Proficient user of Zuken E3
  • Electrical circuit design expert
  • Have a good knowledge of vehicle legislation and standards for UK, Europe and ROW
  • The ideal candidate should be a team player with a "hands on" approach to problem solving. You will operate and manage within a team and under your own initiative, interpreting specifications and contributing to technical discussions.
