    Description
    Our client is seeking a Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to join their Aberdeen team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage procurement and supply chain initiatives.
    In this role, you'll play a crucial role in aligning procurement with budgets, improving cost-effectiveness, and ensuring regulatory compliance. As the primary liaison for vendor engagements and contracts, your contribution will be essential in driving operational excellence.


    Accountabilities:


    Oversee the management of SOP522, Vendor Selection & Contracting processManage, train, and support any staff assigned this activityLead all procurement activities pertaining to both trial and business requirementsDevelop the Procurement Function in support of the strategic business planNegotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous termsManage strategic relationship with key vendorsHold regular performance / contract reviews with key vendorsCollaborate with vendor managers to obtain full clarity of scope requirements/expectations from vendorsSupport vendor managers in tracking performance and ensure service is within scopeManage and report on all Procurement activities from budget definition to trial closureControl spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costsOversee the management of contractsAct as a point of escalation for all vendor activitiesAnalyse and recommend cost and time efficienciesOversee the management of the business section of the TMF & SOFAny other tasks requested by the Legal Function and Senior Leadership Team in AberdeenAdhere to the specifications outlined in the Trial Master File (TMF) and Sponsor Oversight File (SOF) of the organization.

    Perform all job-related tasks in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) of the company and relevant regulatory and guideline standards.


    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, e.g.

    supply chain management,logistics or business administrationExperience:
    Proven working experience in the Procurement fieldProven experience in contract negotiationSkills/Knowledge:Strong negotiation and networkingStrong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritisemultiple tasksProficient in Microsoft Office applications (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Access,PowerPoint, Visio)Commercially astute with good analytical skills and detail orientedStrong communication skillsAbility to review and suggest improvement to current processes
