What you will be doing:


  • Setup and Operate the Power press lines within PMUK HAD (Home Appliance Division),
  • Achieve daily production targets,
  • Adhere to all EHS and quality requirements.
- support productivity & quality improvements including Lean & 5S activities.

  • Ability to use or capability to pass a course to operate the following
  • Fork lift truck's both counterbalance and bendy type, Overhead gantry crane & lifting/slinging, Power press Regulations.
  • Complete the required documentation and follow standard operating procedures & standard work to meet all HS&E, Quality & Productivity targets.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and complete quality checks in line with business requirements on pressed components using Vernier's / micrometre's / rule.
  • Working with Tool makers and Engineering to minimize equipment and production losses and as a team utilize a TPM approach to reduce unplanned downtime to maximize equipment utilization and throughput performance.
  • Communicate effectively with section leader / support staff to ensure daily and monthly targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Press operations
  • Keeping daily production records & managing the process.


  • Press Setting

  • Tool preinspection & changeovers.
  • Quality Inspection and recording 1st Off Checks, frequency checks & escalations. Loading Coils / Blanks. TPM / 5S / Root Cause Problem Solving / Team Meeting / Training.

What we are looking for:


Education/Relevant Experience:

  • 3 years Previous Power press setting / operating experience.
  • Engineering / Mechanical discipline desired.
  • Experience of reading tech drawings and using basic measuring devices.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Experience of IT facility Microsoft Office / excel.
  • Proven Experience within a highvolume production facility.
  • Awareness of Process Health and Safety.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Principles, 5S and Quality Right First Time. C

Additional:
Experience of working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Demonstrate a Continuous Improvement approach and participate in the using of key improvement tools such as A3 Problem Solving, 5-Why & Brainstorming.

High degree of flexibilityrelating to working hours when required. Self-motivated. Must be able to demonstrate being a Team Player.

Working Hours: 07:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, 07:30 - 12:15 Friday.
