Job Summary

To provide administrative support to the Procurement and Supply Chain Team. Specifically focusing upon maintaining stock levels and managing the flow of goods. Liaising with all areas of production, engineering and logistics in order to maintain smooth throughput of supplies.

Responsibilities and duties

Focus on maintaining stock levels and chasing in overdue POs
Monitor nonstock.
Complete and update longer reports such as stock levels less than min, sales chasers report.
Responsible for updating encore, chasing orders and preventing shortages.
Support sales with lead times and basic questions.
Support ad hoc purchases.
Managing minimum stock levels / inventory.
Running reports which support daily activities.
Maintain database records.
Liaising with sales and supporting with lead time information.
Arranging free issue shipments under the supervision of supply chain team.
Assist with the coordination of free issue shipments with logistics.
Monitoring orders and making sure they come in on time.

Desired qualifications and skills

Minimum 6 GCSE's including Math's & English.
Vocational qualification or studying towards CIPS would be advantage.
Previous experience in a similar role ideally within manufacturing would be an advantage.
Software packages including Microsoft, Encore, Excel and Word all at intermediate level.
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Strong verbal and written communication.
