- 1-2 years of experience with Unix/Linux system administration.
- Professional qualifications or equivalent proven experience in a technical support role.
- Detailed working knowledge of Unix (Solaris 10/11), Linux (RHEL5/6, Ubuntu, etc.).
- Working knowledge of DHCP, DNS, SMTP, NTP, SSH, NFS and various filesystems.
- Solid fundamentals in Linux operating systems and prior experience managing production systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with client facing experience.
- Basic LAN/WAN and TCP/IP troubleshooting skills.
- Basic script writing experience (any of Bash, Perl, Python, etc.).
- Basic storage/SAN administration experience.
- Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot Unix/Linux systems.
- Configure and maintain Puppet configuration management solutions.
- Deploy and maintain automated installation solutions such as Kickstart/Jumpstart and PXE
- Interface with customers to provide technical support.
- Diagnose and resolve performance and networking issues.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate system administration tasks.
- Research, evaluate and recommend emerging technologies.
- Travel to various offices in New York, London, Hong Kong and Singapore.
- Strong research, writing and communication skills.
