Principal Legal Assistant

Grade 4 - £30,151 - £37,261

36.5 hours per week

This is an opportunity to join a team of specialist lawyers dedicated to the Council achieving its growth ambitions.

The team undertakes all aspects of legal work relating to the Council's statutory functions in respect of planning, highways and traffic management, which encapsulates new developments, regeneration and infrastructure upgrades across the city.

You will support the work of the Senior Solicitor and Grade 5 solicitors on varied caseloads dealing with complex and high value planning and highways legal agreements.

You must have successfully completed the Institute of Legal Executives or equivalent examination and have substantial satisfactory working experience.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent administrative, organisational, written and verbal communication skills as well as an ability to work to a high standard as part of a team in a pressurised environment.

You must demonstrate how you comply with the Person Specification for the role, which accompanies this advert.
