Requirements of the role:

  • Awarded PhD in the field of planning, urban studies, or a related discipline.
  • Research/Teaching specialism in urban economies and/or environmental planning
  • Publication in peerreviewed journals (at a level commensurate with grade of appointment) the postholder must be returnable to REF irrespective of starting grade.
  • Demonstrable international research portfolio
  • Experience in the leadership of taught modules;
  • Demonstrable independent research agenda at a level judged to be commensurate with grade
  • External research grants awarded at a level judged to be commensurate with grade
