Consultant in Elderly Care

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust

We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Elderly Care to work with us at
East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust in William Harvey Hospital.


We are looking for a doctor dedicated to, and passionate about, improving health and wellbeing within the East Kent community.


Requirements:


  • Maintenance of highquality patient centred care
  • Shared responsibility for the daytoday management of the service and participation in strategic planning
  • Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
  • Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity
  • Active participation in continuing medical education
  • Broad range of experience in Elderly and general medicine

In particular:

  • Experience of complex care and discharge planning
  • Fully competent in broad range of medical issues in older and general medical patients

Details about the roles:

Speciality: Elderly Medicine

Location: East Kent

Shift patterns: 8:30-17:00 Mon-Fri on-going, weekends/part-time hours also available

Hours per week: 20-50 hours available

Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts

Rates: £100-£120 depending on experience


About the Trust


East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust operates in five hospitals and several community clinics across Ashford, Canterbury, Folkstone and the surrounding areas.

The Trust's specialist urology, kidney disease and vascular services are also open to the wider community.

This role would be predominantly based in XX with the opportunity to work extra shifts across the Trusts' other sites and any of our partner Trusts.

  • Valid GMC

  • Clinical attachment complete
- minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK

Salary:
£100.00-£120.00 per hour
