The Opportunity:

Nigel Wright Recruitment has been retained to support a growing multi-site motor dealership organisation with the recruitment of a Commercial Director to join its leadership team.

Role Profile:

Overseeing multiple revenue streams across new and used car sales, service and repair.
A primary initial focus of driving growth in new and used car sales, whilst maintaining oversight of service and repairs.
Coaching and developing managers and sales staff with a willingness to be hands on in the sales department as required.
Involvement with the senior leadership team in informing the longterm strategy and scaling the organisation.
The role will progressively become more strategic as the organisation, the leadership team and the commercial functions develop.

Package:

In excess over £100K including basic, bonus, car etc.

Person Specification:

Commercial / sales leadership experience within the motor dealership sector is essential.
The role may be well suited to a Dealer Principal from a large single site and working for a large national chain, looking to step up to the next level.
Alternatively, a commercial / sales leadership role with an independent dealer / small chain may also be relevant.
Strong people management and relationship building are essential.
An ethical mindset where customer service, longterm relationship building and encouraging repeat business is more important than hard selling.
A bigger picture mindset with the ability to step up into a broad leadership role, whilst being comfortable being hands on within the sales department as required.
Commutable to the North East on a daily basis.
