**Software Application Delivery Team Lead

Reporting to Head for Platform Delivery, the Development Team Lead is a newly created role within our client's growing business.

As the
Development Team Lead you will be responsible for the delivery of our highly successful charging platforms and mobile apps.

They are looking for an experienced Team Lead who can drive the existing software development team.

This role is focused on the team management and the quality of the solution delivered, with mínimal hands-on coding.

However, you will be required to draw on your technical expertise and previous coding experience to coach and guide the team to deliver aquality product to agreed budgets and timescales.

Key Responsibilities:

Heading up & managing an
onshore and offshore team, providing day to day priority and guidance through daily standup meetings
Own the
sprint product backlog priority and
sprint assignment to ensure business objectives are achieved
Collaborate with the
Head of Platform Delivery, to define release plans and to manage all activities to deliver the software release to that plan
Working with the
QA lead to drive best testing practices and methods to confirm a consistent improvement of quality is achieved

Drive continuous improvement both technically and in ways of working to improve the efficiency and reduce rework:

Communicate with department heads, sales, technical support, and other stakeholders to translate technical issues and solutions into simple to understand language

Experience & Qualifications required:

Strong understanding and practical use of cloud technologies (preferably AWS)
Organisation and project planning for upgrades and implementation roadmaps
Problem solving skills which demonstrate an ability to lead thinking and solutions & communicate effectively with team members to achieve project goals

Solid communication skills in English, both written and verbal. You will have developed strategies for dealing with teams where English is not their first language to ensure the correct messaging is conveyed

23+ Years' experience as a
Software Development Lead in an
Agile software delivery environment (principles and processes) working with
remote teams:
3-5+ Years' experience as a
Software Developer in a modern cloud environment (preferably AWS) including PaaS native development and mobile technologies (
Android and iOS)
Previous experience with the
Node, TypeScript (JavaScript):
Ideally React open-source tech stacks knowledge
