We have an exciting new opportunity for an Employment Advisor to Join the Employment Services Team to work intensively with a caseload of people who have barriers that impact on their ability to gain work.

Assisting participants to obtain & sustain training & employment that is consistent with their vocational goals.

Meet & exceed performance targets for referrals, employer engagement, & job starts in adherence with compliance with contractual guidelines, quality procedures & paperwork requirements.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support participants to understand their skills, aspirations & goals. Complete vocational profiles, leading to action plans to obtain employment in line with participant preferences
  • Identify barriers to employment, assist participants with Job readiness skills, job search strategies, CV building etc.
  • Receive & manage referrals ensure they are contacted within agreed timescale
  • Keep abreast of local labour market trends, job openings, skills requirements & general information that will assist participants in seeking employment
  • Monitor participant progress ensuring they are fully supported to develop motivation & confidence
  • Proactively source potential job opportunities with employers through tailored & targeted approach (in line with programme specific targets)
  • Effectively manage active caseload ensuring confidentially is maintained & awareness of participant journey can be demonstrated to relevant stakeholders at any time
  • Develop & maintain positive working relationships with all internal & external stakeholders to support & aid participants journey towards training, volunteering & employment goals
  • Ensure all participant information is requested, recorded, stored electronically & in hard copy in accordance with compliance requirements so that participants journey to employment/training is fully documented & claims can be made in a timely fashion
  • To regularly evaluate & document participant progress via SMART reviews with participant, ensuring action plans are living documents
  • To assist in the preparation of project reviews, reports, project audits, case studies & data as required by Landau & other stakeholders
  • Ensure that you take positive actions to safeguard young people & vulnerable adults you come into contact with & follow correct procedures around safeguarding
  • To cover for team members during times of absence
  • To actively participate in own continuous professional development
Full time hours: 36.5 hours per week


Salary:
£25,000 - £27,200

Hereford

This is a fixed term post until 30th December 202- This post will be fully funded by the European Social Fund (ESF)_
