About the Role:
We are looking for a Supply Chain Planner (f/m/d) to join our team at the Dundee facility.
In this role you will use the production plan generated in the Sales and Order Processing (S&OP) system to create monthly and weekly production requirements and inventory plans that fulfill demand requirements.
However, initial responsibilities will also involve the day-to-day sequencing of work orders and activities required to create and maintain detailed production/supply schedules.
You will also secure and manage raw materials/ intermediates based on forward looking production planning and manage appropriate inventory levels.
This position will be located at our facility in Dundee, United Kingdom, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise capacity analyses (RCCP) and customer service policies to govern schedules for finished product/intermediates inventory plans in accordance with business policies
- Act as the main contact person for the Asset Scheduler from supply planning
- Translate the supply plan into the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
- Maintain and provide valid available to promise data
- Identify and resolve conflicts with supply and demand, and available capacity for the MPS horizon
- Perform rough cut capacity planning for the MPS
- Model 'what if' scenarios to evaluate proposed MPS changes to determine impact
- Analyse inventory stocking strategies and recommend improvements
- Participate in the Supply Review and represent the Dundee MPS in the global capacity view
- Drive continuous improvement of the master production scheduling process, practices, policies and metrics
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business or technical field and/or High School education plus 5 years relevant manufacturing/scheduling experience
- Operations, scheduling and planning (RCCP, MRP, CRP, MPS) experiences
- Experience of shortterm scheduling
- Competency with an ERP system and reporting
- A flexible team player, able to work with various functions both locally and across EMEA and globally
- Organised, structured and able to handle complexity
- Willing to cover short term scheduling and material planning with a view to develop towards a broader and more strategic MS role
Desired Qualifications:
- S&OP experience (supply step)
- APICS Basics
- Continuous improvement certification
