Our key client within theFMCG sector has a very interesting opening for a
Logistics Administrator.
Our key client, within the manufacturing sector, is seeking a dynamic and hard-working logistics administrator.
The
Logistics Administrator to work within the Operations department and be responsible for all product dispatches both domestically and internationally.
The Logistics Administrator will also work closely with the warehouse team to manage onsite stock and allocation of delivers from stock items.
Key Skills required:
- Proficient user of Excel and Word software
- Some logistics experience within admin
- Working with online portals for distribution of ideally both pallets and packages
- Strong Oral and written communication skills
- Some export / international experience preferred but not essential
Key responsibilities:
- Arrange daily UK & International shipments across our customer base
- Producing accurate delivery paperwork for both our customers and the finance department
- Progress chasing, communicating late / failed deliveries to relevant teams within the business / to customers
- Prepare shipping documents including commercial invoices, purchase orders, dangerous goods notes, customs documents and bills of lading.
- Provide information and feedback to relevant teams in the business regarding the status of customer deliveries.
- Scheduling booking slots with customers and hauliers
- Working with hauliers to request quotations for ad hoc business or international shipment
- Working with finance regarding commercial invoices & correct record keeping
- Maintain a proficient filing system for all export documentation
- Allocating customer orders into the warehouse for picking
Hours
40 hour week on site.
FULL TIME HOURS (Mon - Thu 8am to 5-30pm, Fri 7am - 2pm)
1⁄2 hour lunch break
20 days holiday (5 to be saved for Christmas) + BANK HOLIDAYS
