1st Line IT Helpdesk Operator - Wrexham, United Kingdom - The Supply Service
Description
The Supply Service are recruiting for a 1st Line IT Helpdesk Operator on behalf of a client based in Wrexham.
The role of 1st Line Helpdesk Operator is to provide 1st line helpdesk support with a primary goal of ensuring the smooth running of online lesson delivery to customers and resolve any IT issues to ensure disruption to the business.
To be successful in this role, you will need strong customer service skills, be professional and passionate about your work.
You will need to have strong organisation and communication skills, be forward thinking, dynamic and work effectively in a team.
Successful applicants with report directly to 2nd Line Support in the first instance and be confident in raising more complicated IT issues to the IT Manager / 3rd Line Support.
Responsibilities:
- Being the first point of contact for IT issues, questions, or concerns.
- Responding to support tickets raised through our ticketing system from customers and staff.
- Taking telephone calls on the IT Support line from customers and staff.
- Setting up and testing firewalled customer networks and liaising with customer IT technicians to ensure online lessons work at maximum efficiency.
- Updating and maintaining records on Microsoft Dynamic CRM.
- Responding to live lesson issues affecting teachers and students via Microsoft Teams.
- Assisting schools, students & parents with any issues regarding to accessing the platform and lessons.
- Testing contracted teachers and employed teachers working from home to ensure their setup is ready for teaching online.
- Provide relevant support and training to Staff for specialist products.
- Proactively contact customers with updates as required.
- Investigating, diagnosing, and solving computer software and hardware faults
- Reporting of data as specified by IT Manager and 2nd Line Support
- Working and analysing data in spreadsheets
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by their Line Manager, these may include special projects as defined and agreed by the Management team.
