Description

The Supply Service are recruiting for a Shift Leader on behalf of a Children's Residential Home based in Buckley, Flintshire.

Successful applicants will have a proven ability in adapting to different settings effectively, whilst supporting Support Workers provide the relevant care and support to children and young people aged 7 to 18 with a range of acute and enduring issues.

Challenging and complex needs are present, including EBD, SEMH & MLD.

As Shift Leader you will be responsible for:

Leading a team of Residential Care Practitioners ensuring continuous improvement in performance and promoting the well-being of your team.
Creating an environment and atmosphere within which the needs of young people can be met.
Providing a positive living experience for all young people and provide appropriate care and support as identified in the Young Persons Care Plan/Personal Plan.
You will also support, supervise, and direct the staff team to ensure current legislation is followed and positive outcomes are achieved within working practice through open lines of communication.

Essential requirements:

Level 3 Health & Social Care Diploma (Children and Young People).
Have or be willing to work towards Diploma Level 4 in Leadership and Management and Professional Practice.
Minimum of 1 years' experience working with children/young people in a residential setting.
Experience of leading and managing a Team of Residential Care Practitioners.
Leadership & motivational skills.
Awareness of the needs of children and young people in Children's Homes.
Understanding of intervention strategies.
Knowledge of the Code of Practice for Social Care Workers
Full UK manual driving licence.
