Owen Daniels are working with a client based in Reading who are looking for a Manufacturing Test Technician to join their growing team.

They are in the process of bringing a worlds first product to market and are looking for multiple Test Technicians.

Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Test Technician:

Developing and following detailed test plans.
Mechanical measurements of lens components and lens materials.
Execution and analysis of microscopy measurements.
Analysis of 3D volume CT scan data.
Support of environmental test campaigns for the lenses.
Design and procurement of bespoke mechanical jigs to support test campaigns.
Mechanical material testing.
Analysis of measurement results and generation of comprehensive test reports.
Support of lens prototyping activities.
Travel to vendor sites to support external prototyping and test activities when necessary

Key requirements of the Manufacturing Test Technician:

Relevant Engineering, Materials Science, Physics degree required.
At least 2 years of experience in components testing in an industrial environment.
Experience in mechanical material property measurements.
Experience in visual microscopy, CT scanning systems and/or Volume Graphics.
Experienced in analyzing measurement data and writing comprehensive test reports
