The Role

The Laboratory Assistant will ensure the chemicals testing processes are carried out effectively and maintained according to the internal systems and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities:

Testing of chemical samples.
Authorising the release of production batches when no anomalies are found.
Processing, cleaning and packaging of column returns.
Stock control
Follow company procedures and quality standards.
Assist in achieving team KPIs and contributing towards improvements.

Qualifications, skills and experience required

Degree or HNC/HND in Chemistry or related discipline
Experience in testing of amino acid analysers would be an advantage
Good knowledge of chromatography
Good problemsolving abilities and the ability to work independently.
Be proactive
Knowledge of fluidics would be an advantage
Experience of working in a laboratory testing environment is essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
The ability to work independently and in a team.
