The content curator will work as part of a team of product operations staff based in AP's offices in Camden, London.

Initially focused on the delivery of AP's live video news products, the key responsibilities of the role are:

To work with colleagues in editorial teams to create and manage a schedule of live video news events for delivery to AP's global business to business customer base.

To manage, in real time, the activation and deactivation of breaking and scheduled news feeds - ensuring the best and most relevant aspects of a story are delivered.

To create information relating to live video news feeds - describing upcoming and ongoing events effectively and conveying critical information regarding the content itself and its terms of use.

To liaise with AP's global customers by answering editorial and service delivery questions through the use of message boards and other channels.

To troubleshoot technical delivery issues through liaison with AP and external vendor support teams. To onboard new customers to AP's live video products. To select and curate live video content and other visual material for archiving.

The content curator role is currently evolving as AP continues to develop its product delivery and production processes and the specifics of this role will adapt accordingly.


Qualifications:

A degree level qualification or relevant experience in a media production environment
A keen interest in global news events and the news media industry
Attention to detail and accuracy, a calm approach and an ability to focus in a dynamic and busy news environment
A team player with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers in real time
An interest in media production technologies and processes
A flexible and collaborative approach and service focus


PLEASE NOTE:
This post is being offered on a hybrid basis, with in-office working at least two days per week.

The role operates on a shift pattern, which may include day, night and weekend shifts, as well as public holidays.

All applicants must be able to work in the UK or be able to gain permission to work in the UK.
