Job Title: Senior Peer Worker at Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust
Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust is excited to announce the opening for a Senior Peer Worker position within the County Durham AMH (Adult Mental Health) and MHSOP (Mental Health Services Older People) Community Services.
The role involves providing peer support to individuals with mental health challenges and ensuring trauma-informed, person-centred care.
This position is initially temporary but there is potential for a permanent contract.
Main Responsibilities:
Senior Peer Workers offer supervision to peer workers and practitioners, deliver peer support, and contribute to the development of Peer Support Services.
The ideal candidate will approach peer relationships with compassion, value diversity, and be sensitive to trauma survivors' needs.
About the Role:
This role will require adapting to new challenges as peer support is implemented in mental health hubs across the area.
The organization values diversity and encourages applications from various identities and experiences with mental health services.
