Role:

We are looking for shipping/receiving operator to join our team in Bury,


You will be responsible for dispatching plates and other products in accordance with company specifications and quality procedures and general maintenance duties for the site.


Responsibilities:


  • Despatch plates and other products in accordance with the specifications outlined in the company MIS system
  • Liaise with management to organise special deliveries or goods
  • Unload deliveries using appropriate lifting equipment such as the Stacker Truck and store away in appropriate place.
  • Manage the receipt of all goods deliveries, materials and stock obtaining the relevant documentation. Distribute to the relevant departments.
  • Bring to the attention of management any discrepancies or problems relating to either the despatch or receipt of goods, materials, or supplies.
  • Drive the Company Van for the purpose of delivering goods to customer sites and despatch depots, obtaining the necessary documentation/signatures on delivery notes while maintaining a log of all deliveries and mileage for each journey.
  • Ensure the Company Van is maintained to the highest standard and that it is always legally roadworthy paying attention to Road Tax, MOT and Insurance documents.
  • When required, obtain prices for repair and general maintenance work from external sources and submit to Management for approval
  • Manage and maintain toolkit with appropriate tools for site maintenance requirements.
  • In conjunction with other team members, ensure all production deadlines are met.
  • Ensure the Companies Quality procedures outlined in the Quality Manual are always followed.
  • To assist in other production areas as required.
  • To be aware with and cooperate with the Company's Health & Safety Policy, ISO Procedures and the Companies procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Experience/Skills:

Previous experience in a similar role required

Experience in the printing industry

Full British Driving license

General maintenance skills

Good IT skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to work individually and as part of a team

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Positive and enthusiastic attitude

Self-starter, who can use own initiative
