Credit Controller required on a permanent basis as part of a busy and friendly Credit Control team.

My client is a successful business based in Sutton Coldfield.


Description

  • Responsibility for a number of branches covering approximately 1000 customers of varying values.
  • Chasing of overdue debts and subsequent passing to legal or solicitors as required
  • Query resolution by negotiation with customer and branch, to avoid non payment of account
  • Sending of copy invoices/credits/POD documents when required.
  • Working closely with branch personnel to include branch visits where appropriate and effective.
  • Stopping of accounts that exceed payment terms or credit limits
  • Reviewing daily held orders and making decisions on releasing those orders if a satisfactory solution can be found.
  • Obtaining credit reports and financials accounts from online providers
  • Review and analysis of credit reports and accounts
  • Monitoring accounts to ensure that payment terms and credit limits are not exceeded
  • Stopping of accounts that exceed payment terms or credit limits
  • Reviewing daily held orders and making decisions on releasing those orders if a satisfactory solution can be found.
  • Checking credit risk of potential customers
  • Reviewing credit risk of existing accounts

  • Work on own initiative, often under pressure
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Have a flexible approach to work due to the requirement to work on a shift rota system
