Billing Clerk - Nottingham & Hybrid working - £23,000

Billing clerk responsibilities:

Prepare bills based upon company policies and fee earners instructions
Liaising with different departments within the organisation to ensure that bills contain the correct information
Utilising accounting systems to aid fee earners and their secretaries with the production of timely and accurate bills and invoices
Assist with other financial transactions where required
Inducting and training new staff in the billings process
Querying errors on bills with partners, fee earners and their secretaries, as appropriate, with a view to getting the errors corrected
Dealing with billing queries from partners, fee earners and the support teams as necessary
Assisting in the preparation of information to enable matter group bills to be prepared

What we're looking for:

Must be IT literate with experience of using the Microsoft suite
Experience of using a range of finance packages would be seen as beneficial
Experienced with inputting and processing large volumes of data
Work well within an office environment
Be able to follow deadlines and ensure that a high quality of work is completed within these deadlines
Effective verbal and written communication
Must be numerate, methodical and accurate and have attention to detail
A robust approach to relationships and interactions with colleagues and a positive team spirit is essential
