Head of Risk Management
£56,021 - £64,914 per annum plus an excellent benefits package
Location University of Northampton Waterside Campus / Hybrid


Supporting the Associate Director of Governance, Compliance and Risk and the Chief Operating Officer in the development and delivery of the risk management strategy and integrated risk management framework.

The newly created post of Head of Risk Management will be integral to the Governance, Compliance and Risk Office and will provide significant input to the University's strategic and business planning processes, providing advice on all risk management aspects including risk appetite.


You will lead and develop the University's risk management strategy, including the development of an overarching integrated risk management framework.

You will oversee health and safety strategy and management system, providing leadership to the health and safety team.

You will also lead on the development of the University's approach to business continuity, and its strategy and plan of work for business continuity management.


We are seeking an experienced, senior, highly qualified and competent professional with broad experience and a highly developed skill-set in risk management.

You will possess the interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills that will allow you to proactively negotiate and influence at senior levels within the organisation, linking closely to the Board, the executive, senior management and staff in the provision of the University's risk management agenda.
