Clinical Lead

Ty Coch Nursing Home, Cardiff

39.38 hours per week

£38,324 per annum

The opportunity:


Responsible for clinical leadership of Nurses, delivery of excellence in quality on a day to day basis, ensuring that clinical governance targets are met and supporting the Home Manager and Deputy Manager with delivery of operational plans.

Penylan House is a part of Linc Care and operates in the not-for-profit sector. The whole building exceeds CIW requirements and a high staff to resident ratio.


What we need from you:


  • Communication Skills to lead and mentor a team of nursing and care staff. To professionally represent the Home in all dealings with Elders and external contacts. Established and maintain good communication with Elders, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team. Ensure a clear and concise handover report is provided at the end of each shift.
  • Registered Nurse and relevant qualifications. You will be a clinical expert in elderly nursing who can demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and a passion for delivering the highest standards of person centered and palliative care.
  • Ability to show empathy, understanding and experience in a care setting you will be expected to work closely with our residents and be able to identify their specific needs and make balanced, clear, and timely decisions.
  • To work as part of the management team to maintain the personal social and health care needs of Elders, respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence.
  • To ensure that care is delivered consistently and is of a highquality standard.
  • Welldeveloped time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
