Payroll Advisor

£26-30k Per Annum + Bonus+ Benefits

Maidstone Kent

Hybrid Role - 3 Days a week office based, 2 days from home (after probation)


Our client a consultancy offering outsourced payroll & HR service based in Maidstone are looking for a Payroll Advisor to provide payroll advice and support to existing and prospective clients.


Day to Day duties for the Payroll Advisor:

  • Managing a portfolio of payroll clients
  • Working within a team to meet deadlines
  • Running of monthly, weekly, 2 weekly and 4 weekly pay runs.
  • Attending company meetings as required, including 1:1 assessments
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments
  • Ensuring the internal payroll system is accurate and up to date.
  • Remaining competent with HMRC guidance and updates and where necessary liaise with HRMC on behalf of clients.
  • Dealing with allocated incoming & outgoing post.
  • Printing and scanning of documentation including issuing of payslips, P45's & P60's.
  • Uploading of monthly pension contributions
  • Processing BACs payments.
  • Attending allocated new business client meetings

Experience for the Payroll Advisor:


  • At least 2 years' experience within a Payroll Advisory role
  • Thorough understanding of UK Payroll
  • CIPP qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team
  • Accurate numeracy is essential with attention to detail
  • Reliability and ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Full UK Driving License
