We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our high performing Retail team.

The Retail department operates 3 outlets on campus; 2 brick and mortar stores (Costcutter store and Students' store) and 1 online store (Snappy shopper).

These outlets aim to provide excellent retail services to the benefit of the campus and local community. The role holder will work across all 3 outlets depending on the needs of the business.

This role will encompass all the general day-to-day duties of a Retail assistant working in a busy store. These include serving customers, replenishing stock and keeping the shop floor clean and tidy.

Other responsibilities will include supervising agency staff, ordering stock, processing deliveries, reconciling the tills and opening/closing the store when necessary.

This is a very busy operation, so you need to have a hands-on approach and a positive attitude.

Experience of working as part of a team
Good level of Health and Safety compliance
Interpersonal and organisational skills
Cash handling experience
The ability to address and resolve customer complaints
