Job Purpose As the Lead Welder you'll be accountable for the delivery of operational activities for cyclical and ad hoc Maintenance activities within the Heavy Workshop to include working on a variety of assets, primarily pre-heater remediation and bespoke fabrications.
You will be responsible for maintaining a proactive work environment focused on safety, quality, and timeliness of job completion.What you'll get to work onUndertake day to day Mechanical activities such as, welding, fitting, fabricating, Tooling/plant checksLead operations in areas of specialism eg:
lifting, hot worksAssist on developing risk assessments, method statementsEnsure permit / CP requirements are supportedEnsure activities are in full compliance with safe Control of Operations procedures and CDM requirementsShare, promote and facilitate technical and procedural best practiseRepresent the department on projects / initiativesResponsible for a working environment which ensures the achievement of all safety and environmental legislation, engineering and customer standardsLead on technical support to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective development of the workshopEnsure workplace standards are upheld and contribute to continuous improvementDemonstrate compliance with the required standards/company proceduresBe responsible for ensuring data recording and accuracy to support accurate management and regulatory reporting Who are we looking for We are looking for candidates who hold any of the below qualifications or their equivalents:BS EN – Qualification testing of welders Fusion welding and steelBS EN 4515 – Supplementary to GD/SP/P/2BS EN 6990 – Supplementary to CAD/SP/P/9BS EN (phone number removed) – Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materialsWhat's In It For YouHere at Cadent, we are committed to supporting our employees to get the best out of themselves.
