If you are looking for a new challenge which will make a difference, an opportunity has arisen to join our A&E Operations Team as Deputy Head of Operations, based in East Yorkshire.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the post holder will manage the day-to-day operational and tactical delivery across a specified geographic area(s), ensuring procedures are safe and effective, promoting a first class service and an improved patient experience


The post holder will be required to be outfacing and proactively engage with other emergency service providers as well as building solid relationships with the community.


The post holder will be required to have excellent managerial skills and lead area leadership team with confidence and strict budgetary control, utilising all resources effectively.

Participate in an on-call rota in the role of a Tactical Commander

Ensure patients experience a safe and effective service taking all necessary operational decisions to deliver the best patient care.

Ensure the locality has a robust, tested and critical infrastructure in place to provide a resilient Emergency Service.


Enable a focused and personal leadership for Tactical and Operational Command leading exemplar service from a personal leadership perspective and act as a Senior Uniformed Officer internally and externally to promote and ensure consistent focus, readiness and tested preparedness for an emergency or surge related incident.
