Newgate Ltd based in Newark was established in 1984 and has built an outstanding reputation for providing quality bespoke security solutions including gates, barriers, road blockers and access control systems.

We provide an end-to-end service to our customers - with the capability to design, fabricate, install, service and repair equipment throughout the UK.

We are currently looking for an experienced Store/Yard Person.

Reporting to the Stores Controller you will be responsible for the day to day cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the stores and yard including such duties as manually loading and unloading materials, operating mechanical loading equipment and deliveries.


Job Duties

  • Ensure standard operating procedures are followed at all times in your area.
  • Work in cooperation with all company personnel both inside and outside the business.
  • Manual loading and unloading
  • Be responsible for receiving and checking deliveries
  • General stores duties
  • Stocktake
  • Ensure Yard is kept clean and organised
  • Driving Forklift
  • Deliveries to Distributors using company van
  • Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures.
  • Attend Training Courses as and when required.
  • Proven experience in a similar stores/yard environment/role preferred
  • Driving license
  • Forklift truck license
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Be able to work with mínimal supervision and to specific deadlines
  • Be neat and methodical in their work
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication skills
  • Enjoy working and contributing to a team
  • A strong level of understanding of health and safety legislation
  • Flexibility as some overtime will be required

Hours
Mondays to Thursdays 7.45am to 4.30pm and Fridays 7.45am to 2.30pm
