Mechanical Engineer

Salary:
£32,000 to £35,000 plus £2000 shift allowance

Location:
Scunthorpe

Our client is a market leading factory built and bespoke kitchen manufacturer, that prides themselves on the best products at the best value.

They are seeking to recruit a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team at their specialist quartz division of their business.

THE ROLE:

The primary role of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is to ensure that the plant and production machinery are kept running safely and efficiently during production shifts and maintained and serviced as required whilst following risk assessments and safeworking procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
Attending breakdowns, fault finding and rectification of faults
Maintaining records on MMS systems of breakdowns / PPM's / inspections
Carry out daily plant inspections on all site services
Weekly checks on Sprinkler systems / water systems
Monthly checks on various equipment to ensure compliance
Carry out PPM inspections and remedial works on production machinery
Carry out project work as required
Assist with all other site service requirements as they arise
Work towards a zero-breakdown and zero-stop mentality, reducing the maintenance costs including reducing working capital for spare parts
Support, suggest and implement improvements (Safety, Technology, Process)
Good understanding and use of computer systems
The role is a working a 3 week rotating shift pattern

Week one:
Monday to Friday 5.45am to 2.15pm

Week two:
Tuesday to Saturday 5.45am to 2.15pm

Week three:
Monday to Friday 2.15pm to 10.45pm
Overtime is available should you wish to work this.
