Description
We are looking for a Test Lead to work in a fast-paced, agile environment. Testing our eRecord PAS solution, web apps, devices and interfaces. The role requires a proactive and motivated tester to drive forward the improvement of IT quality.

  • Interview date: 6th June 202 37 hours 30 minutes/week
Role responsibilities will include manual testing of new systems, upgrades and bug fixes.

  • Requirements analysis.
  • Test planning and preparation
  • Creation of test scripts.
  • Updating existing test scripts in Excel.
  • Reporting and management of defects.
  • Creation of test reports to approve releases into the live domain.
  • Oversight, review and continuous improvement of testing processes.
  • Automation of manual tests.
  • Strong attention to detail with a thorough and robust attitude.
  • Confident in challenging peers and senior colleagues to report, investigate and resolve defects.
  • Able to deal with tight deadlines and regular pressure to deliver releases into a clinical environment.
  • Able to work remotely and with mínimal supervision.
  • Familiar with common test tools.
  • Experience of working within the NHS would be beneficial.
  • Experience of working with Cerner Millennium would be beneficial

The Test Analyst is an integral member of the Business Solutions team, reporting and supporting the Test Manager across a broad range of projects.


The Test Analyst is responsible for the design, creation and execution of test scripts which fully cover all functional and non-functional requirements with a system under test.

The Test Analyst is also responsible for supporting the creation of test plans in line with the overall Test Policy.


The test analyst will:


  • Produce testing criteria from complex business requirements and user
stories.

  • Be responsible for both testing directly and working alongside other
specialist and non-specialist team members in testing a system.

  • Work with automated and nonautomated test techniques.
  • Work directly and communicate effectively with users and stakeholders
in order to establish test requirements.

  • Responsible for executing tests within various test cycles including, but
not limited to, system and integration tests, regression testing,
performance testing and usability testing.

  • Experience of integration systems, the post holder will understand the
testing lifecycles - system, integration and user acceptance testing.

  • Take initiative and work to deadlines as required.
  • Discuss technical issues with developers as required.
  • Able to provide an overview of potential technical defects and impacts
within the various test cycles.

  • Report on progress and issues at required intervals.
  • Participate in requirements and design reviews
  • Provide guidance to the Test Manager regarding the quality of systems
under test prior to release.

  • Work closely with users and other IT areas to ensure successful testing
as necessary.
