**2nd Line IT Support Technician
Inside IR35

Dalkeith**Our Public Sector client is looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Technician to come in on an initial 3-month contract.


The role will include.

  • Building installing computer equipment, including software at customer sites.
  • Investigate and correct computer equipment failures or malfunctions at customer sites.
  • Research and retrieve appropriate fixes via the internet and other support media.
  • Resolve IT issues raised by customers.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure the correct delivery of services / goods purchased by IT.
  • Write system documentation.
  • Maintain the core internal IT management systems and ensure user and asset procedures are followed.
  • Provide adhoc assistance to the enduser.

Essential Skills, Competences, Experience and Relevant Qualifications

  • At least one year experience in a PC Support environment.
  • Being able to work independently, when needed using own initiative.
  • Being able to communicate with the customer at a nontechnical level.
  • Experience of working on an IT Help Desk
  • A current Driving License
  • Required Level of Security Clearance / Background check
