**2nd Line IT Support TechnicianInside IR35
Dalkeith**Our Public Sector client is looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Technician to come in on an initial 3-month contract.
The role will include.
- Building installing computer equipment, including software at customer sites.
- Investigate and correct computer equipment failures or malfunctions at customer sites.
- Research and retrieve appropriate fixes via the internet and other support media.
- Resolve IT issues raised by customers.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure the correct delivery of services / goods purchased by IT.
- Write system documentation.
- Maintain the core internal IT management systems and ensure user and asset procedures are followed.
- Provide adhoc assistance to the enduser.
Essential Skills, Competences, Experience and Relevant Qualifications
- At least one year experience in a PC Support environment.
- Being able to work independently, when needed using own initiative.
- Being able to communicate with the customer at a nontechnical level.
- Experience of working on an IT Help Desk
- A current Driving License
- Required Level of Security Clearance / Background check
