Our client, The University of Southampton Science Park Ltd (USSP) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Southampton, operating at arms' length from the University.

They run on a fully commercial basis, managing and developing the Science Park in line with the enterprise and economic growth agenda of the University.

USSP are now looking for a passionate
Coffee Shop and Catering Supervisor for their two coffee shops at the Science Park - "Fusion" offers fresh, healthy and high-quality refreshments and hot and cold lunches, which are made to order throughout the day.

Coffee Shop and Catering Supervisor, the role:

Providing excellent customer service and maintain the reputation of the Science Park
Hands on overseeing of the coffee shops and dealing with customer queries
Preparing food and drink catering packages including restocking with provisions
Making sure that front and back of the house is always clean and presentable
Assisting with effective rota management and organisation of the staff
Ensuring high food safety standards and health and safety requirements
Supporting hospitality team when required (setup, delivery and clearance of meeting room)
Liaising with suppliers to guarantee sufficient stock levels
Placing orders and manging deliveries
Carrying out quarterly stock takes ensuring accurate stock rotation is always in place
Deputising for the Conferencing and Catering Manager when required

Coffee Shop and Catering Supervisor, the person:

Previous experience within a similar role and environment would be ideal
Excellent motivator with plenty of enthusiasm
Astonishing customer service skills
An eye for areas of improvement
Professional, but friendly and approachable
Team player who keeps a positive and helpful attitude
Friendly and welcoming
Great communication and multitasking skills
Reliable and punctual
