Our client is a successful property finance lender operating in the non-regulated market, providing bridging finance for both residential and commercial properties.

With solid investment and new recent funding, they have ambitious plans to continue growing throughout 2024 and to expand the credit team.

Due to this success and to meet their growth plans, our client is s looking to appoint a highly organised individual who enjoys managing the lending process from inception to completion and would like to get more insight and hands on experience in the underwriting process and the structuring of the loans.

As the team grows new roles will be created and you will have more opportunity to step into more senior roles, getting in early will be advantageous to more career motivated candidates.

Responsibilities:
new lending requests for bridging loans and analyse credit worthiness.
offer documentation and ensuring all loan conditions are met throughout the drawdown process.
broker calls on specific cases under review; manage customer expectations.
with the sales and credit team and Surveyors, Solicitors and Clients to effectively manage the lending process.
able to articulate rationale for lending decisions to various levels of internal and external stakeholders.

alert to the risks attributed to a loan application ensuring that the proposal is both suitable and fit for purpose.

application forms, loan documentation, credit reports, valuation reports, bank statements and land registry reports.
indicative terms and loan offer letters
new investors and preparing investment memorandums for investors.
client statements for investors and borrowers.
documents assessed in line with internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory guidelines.
contacts in the CRM database.
team meetings and providing loan updates to Management.
out ad-hoc duties and providing assistance as and when required.
in the preparation and gathering of loan related documentation.


Experience:
of 12 months of experience in underwriting bridging finance loans.
in managing cases through to completion.
Candidates should be able to complete Credit Papers in full including KYC, AML checks.
Confident in their ability to complete full valuation audits.
Competent with their underwriting ability to request information from the borrower / broker.
customer service skills with experience in forming and maintaining relationships with intermediaries and professionals.
in managing case load and processing applications quickly and effectively.
organised, and able to work on your own initiative, with a flexible approach to work.
in your approach to the role and keen and confident in managing the process.
level of Microsoft office applications, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
