- Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of HGVs.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify any potential issues.
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using computerized systems and tools to identify and rectify faults.
- Repair and replace faulty components, parts, or systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including service reports and time sheets.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on HGVs and in the workshop.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members and communicate any issues or recommendations.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements and participate in training programs as needed.
- Experience working as an HGV Technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing HGVs, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Excellent knowledge of hydraulic systems and diagnostics.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations related to working in a workshop or garage environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications related to HGV maintenance and repair (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent).
