Job role:


Neil's Steels is a family run business who have been one of the leading steel fabricators in the Southeast for the last 30 years.

We are currently looking for a full time office administrator to join our ever growing team in our Portslade offices.


Responsibilities:


  • Answering calls & directing to different team members when necessary
  • Taking & recording payments, both over the phone & in person
  • Keeping on top of customer accounts to ensure they're up to date
  • Following up on sent quotes & getting customer feedback on completed jobs
  • Chasing up overdue invoices
  • Keeping the office neat, tidy & professional
  • Ensuring information is recorded cleary & passed onto the correct team members to be actioned
  • Using different programmes to maintain the smooth daily running of the office
  • Being in charge of checking gas bottles in & out for BOC customers
  • Building & maintaining good relationships with customers
  • Responding to general enquiries
  • General administrative duties ie: scanning & filing documents etc

Requirements & skills:


  • Experience in a similar role (1 year +)
  • Computer confident (microsoft Office, Google drive, Excel etc)
  • Great organisational skills: you must be able to manage your own time & work load
  • Strong multitasker
  • Excellent communication skills: both written & verbal
  • Comfortable learning to use new systems
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary
  • Familiarity with office equipment

Additional info:


  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am to 4:30pm
  • Full time & in office (no remote working)
  • On site parking
  • Company pension
- £ £12 per hour

  • 28 days of holiday per year (including bank holidays)

Salary:
From £10.50 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brighton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
