Role Summary:

An opportunity has arisen for a Waterjet Operative to join the Long Mouldings team.

The Waterjet Operative will be responsible for setting up and operating a high pressure water jets to process and produce quality products.

We are looking for a hardworking and committed individual, willing to go the extra mile when required for the business and its customers.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Loading & unloading programs and associated jigs.
  • Machine setting and carrying out cutting programs, ensuring all quality requirements are met.
  • Adherence to the firstoff process.
  • Supporting the Waterjet area in build time reviews and product auditing activity / exercises, where required.
  • Conducting daily TPM checks and ongoing monitoring the machine(s) performance, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Conduct preliminary process investigation, collating details via awareness process and liaise with Manufacturing Engineering and other departments, where required.
  • Support in New Product implementation & development, when applicable.
  • Supporting and participate housekeeping practices and 6S methodologies within the module.
  • Liaise with other modules/departments regarding build concerns/build improvement activity.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:


  • Good interpersonal skills and can communicate to people at all levels.
  • Clear understanding of the products and the ability to make decisions on quality issues.
  • Can work with other departments and functions, where required.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Clear understanding of applicable processes and standards.
  • Help and support others, where needed.
