    Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Band 5 Permanent - Full time - 37.Bexley Care Directorate - Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup and Erith Health Centre - split post


    Over the previous 5 years Oxleas established a highly regarded musculoskeletal (MSK) service in partnership with King's College Hospital for Bexley CCG.

    We have taken this excellent work forward in a new alliance partnership working with the CCG and local secondary care providers.

    This is to continue to provide rapid triage, assessment and treatment for Bexley residents with MSK conditions and MSK rehabilitation needs, linking with other services to ensure the right treatment is delivered in the right place and time.

    The previous MSK service has won the Bexley CCG mystery shopper patient experience award for two years running, the Bexley Care team of the year in the annual Oxleas recognition awards in 2017/18, and the Bexley team of the Quarter award in 2021.

    We are seeking a motivated Band 5 Physiotherapist with excellent clinical skills to work within our First Line Management Service within Oxleas NHS as part of our Musculoskeletal pathway in Bexley.

    This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly regarded and clinically specialised team of orthopaedic, rheumatology and pain consultants, podiatrists, ESP physiotherapists, occupational therapists and psychologists.

    The ideal candidates will develop knowledge and experience within areas of rheumatology, pain management, spinal, upper limb and lower limb conditions.

    The successful applicants will be required to work with a diverse patient population and interact with various stakeholders across primary and secondary care, so the post is best suited to someone who is an excellent communicator and aims to excel in providing optimal patient care.


    The MSK Service has a strong track record of developing staff with an established multidisciplinary in-service training program and regular patient review sessions.

    Suitable for new graduates
    To reflect on and evaluate training provided with a view to implementation into own practice
    To monitor own and others quality of practice as appropriate. To be responsible for the safe and competent use of therapy equipment, appliances and aids. To undertake duties at all times with regard to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.

    Degree in physiotherapy
    Broad Clinical experience undergraduate
    Understands clinical risk pertaining to MSK
