    Senior UX Designer – 12 Months contract - London - Onsite working 5 days a week – £650 per day Umbrella - DV needed – Start ASAP

    Candidates must have a community DV, to ideally start in August

    Extensive experience delivering successful UX design outcomes, having led the delivery of UX work on projects with a high degree of complexity and ambiguity demonstrate a detailed understanding of the design process and user centred design practices and with experience in a range of experience design tools and techniques.

    Have a portfolio of prototypes and artefacts that showcase expert ability with UX design and prototyping tools (i.e sketch, Axure, Invision studio, farmer).

    Be experienced in meeting the needs of users across a variety of channels and able to bring insight in how user needs have changed over time to ensure these are met.

    Be comfortable delivering across the lifecycle of a product, challenging organisational norms and pushing the boundaries of current team thinking.

    Posses excellent presentation skills and be confident communicating complex information to both technical and non technical audiences. Have experience leading and developing a small to medium team of UX interaction designers.

    Be an imaginative thinker and enjoy working as part of a team in an open iterative and collaborative way, with a desire to make things better, have experience helping colleagues understand how digital technology is changing using behaviour and the challenges and opportunities this brings.

    Your experience and creative flair and a passion for designing and improving the usability of products, will put you at the heart of the design the departments future capabilities. As a senior UX designer you will be expected to:

    Main Duties:

    • Take responsibility for scoping and planning UX projects
    • Delegating where appropriate review existing systems and processes to evolve the experience of products making appropriate recommendations to reflect changes in user behaviour and emerging technologies
    • Visualise, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts and make disciplined decisions based on available information and research evidence.
    • Use research data to make import decisions understanding how this impacts others
    • Apply technical knowledge and experience to lead and oversee the development of wireframes and other prototypes understanding security accessibility and version control communicate complex and technical information, balancing the needs of technical and business stakeholders, and managing stakeholder expectations
    • Advocate for users throughout the product lifecycle, run user testing and prioritise feedback to feed into future iterations of product delivery
    • Help teams and product owners make informed decisions
    • Lead a team in a agile environment whilst working in constraints and making decisions characterised by medium levels of risk and complexity
    • Mentor junior employees
