Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;

Work as part of the construction team or defect team carrying out jobs such as paving, replacing kerbs, repairing potholes, replacing signs and other similar activities.

Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;

The operatives will be accountable for carrying out the works given to them in a safe, efficient and timely manner, and escalate any issues to their supervisor
***
Formal qualifications required;

Current UK Full driver licence

Manual Handling

Abrasive Wheels

CSCS card

HGV Class 1 and / or 2 desirable.

Skills required;

ability to use small plant and equipment

Good knowledge of Health and Safety and Risk Assessments
***
Experience required;

1 year experience in Highways Maintenance

You will receive training on Health and Safety / Risk assessment awareness
***
Knowledge;

Good understanding of risk assessments and assess according to safe systems of work

To understand and responsible for the safety of yourself and others

Personal qualities;

Team player, prepared to contribute and participate fully in teamwork

Prepared to work varying hours to meet the needs of the business

Prepared to develop and undertake relevant training and qualifications
