Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;

Traffic management

Cyclical maintenance

Small civils work

Incident and winter service response

Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;

Operative will form part of a team to assist on delivering works, to a given standard and specification, within a target completion date, in the safest way possible.

Formal qualifications required;

Full UK driving licence

HGV Class 2
***
Skills required;

Skills that fall under the Highway maintenance regime including traffic management, small civils works, excavation and reinstatement, winter maintenance, fencing and soft estate.

Experience required;

Experience in highway maintenance, street works or construction industry

Use of small plant or tools
***
Knowledge;

Health and safety

Knowledge of major trunk roads and local road networks in the eastern region

Familiar with basic daily checks on fleet vehicles

Personal qualities;

Positive mental attitude.

Be able to work as a team member.

Willing to learn and self-improve within the business.

Consideration for other.
