    We're currently working with a highly renowned Investment Management organisation, which is seeking to add a Business Development Manager to their established team based in London.

    Our client is a UK-based investment management firm founded over twenty years ago. The firm provides a range of investment solutions, including multi-asset portfolios, individual funds, and thematic investment products.

    The business is known for its focus on innovation and technology, which it uses to provide clients with a personalized and modern investment experience.

    Candidates must have previous experience working for an Investment Management business or Investment Platform within a Business Development capacity.

    The RoleTo find, research, profile, win, develop and retain opportunities for the whole range of the businesses products and services.

    You will handle sales to an intermediary panel for the company products including; Investment Solutions, DFM, Retirement Solutions & Platform.

    PurposeTo discover, research, profile, win, develop and retain opportunities with financial adviser firms in the Region. Distributing the entire range of company products and services.
    ResponsibilitiesSalesLead new business development with an agreed panel of target accounts in conjunction with their Regional Head.
    Manage retention and upsell to an agreed list of existing key accounts.

    Frontline for all company products, undertaking regular product training to maintain knowledge at a level sufficient to talk in depth about investment solutions, DFM and platform.

    SkillsRelationship building skills in order to rapidly establish a high level of trust with the clients, both in terms of professional and personal competence and trustworthiness.

    Questioning and listening skills which are focused and empathetic in order to understand fully and sense-check the prospective and existing clients' true understanding, views and feelings.

    Verbal and presentational skills in order to clearly and passionately communicate the appropriate company proposition and information to prospective and existing clients, in one-to-one, small and large group situations.
