Are you a talented and passionate
Cake Baker/Pastry Chef at SUPERVISORY level? Do you have experience working with buttercream, cream cheese icing, chocolate ganache, and fondant? Baking cakes and preparing cake slices? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you Join our team at Sweetland London as a Cake Production Supervisor and showcase your expertise in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

We produce cakes by the thousands and supply directly to the consumer, as well as to high street retailers and hospitality businesses.


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in the cake industry, preferably in an intense, highvolume environment.
  • Proficiency in working with buttercream, cream cheese icing, chocolate ganache, and fondant is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced commercial bakery environment and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Macaron skills would be highly desirable. Experience in sliced cakes is essential.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and coordinate daily production activities in the kitchen
  • Ensure that food preparation and production are carried out efficiently and in accordance with established standards
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including bakers, to ensure highquality cake production
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
  • Implement costsaving measures to maximize profitability

Skills:


  • Strong background in Commercial Bakery operations, food preparation, and food production
  • Culinary experience and knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
  • Proficient in ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with the management team

£13.00-£15.00 per hour
