This is an excellent opportunity to join the Procurement Team at LSBU.

The Team is a commercially focussed function relationships with our suppliers and delivering commercial outcomes that directly enhance the Student experience.


London South Bank University (LSBU) is looking for a skilled and experienced
Procurement Category Officer to join its Procurement Services team.

Ideally having worked in the Higher Education sector, you will support 3 category managers in day-to-day functioning. You will be supporting procurement activities and managing small value tenders, if required.

You may also work on non-category specific areas and externally funded projects as well as lead some procurements for the wider London South Bank University Group.


About you


You should possess strong commercial, analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, influence stakeholder and lead others to drive improvements.


Proactive and results focused, you should be qualified to at least CIPS Level 4 and want to develop your career in an exciting and challenging environment.


The skills and experience you will need to be successful


Experience in supporting category managers in high value and complex procurements, you should have an up to knowledge of current public procurement regulations and will have recent experience in working/delivering compliant contracts.


Exciting work you will do


A key part of the role will be managing relationships with senior stakeholders and together, deliver outcomes that assist the university to deliver its strategic objectives.

You will deputise in discreet areas of responsibility as directed by Head of Procurement as and when required.

University will support you with CIPS qualification, you will also have on hand experience working on high value project.


Details about the role
***Permanent, Full Time - 35 hours a week.


The University currently operates a hybrid working whereby you are working on-site 3 days a week and working 2 days a week from home.
