Role Overview
We are looking for a
Trainee Surveyor to join our Property Services team.

As a member of the Surveying Team you will help deliver cyclical maintenance surveying and support duties through liaison with the A2D Operational Teams, residents, local authorities and third party providers ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction at all times.


Key responsibilities:


  • Working long side surveyors in carry out site surveys when required and assisting in developing a scope of works when applicable
  • Checking and verifying invoices for work services provided by contractors and that they align with approved scopes and SOR rates. Raising purchase orders where requested for additional scope works
  • Assisting in carrying out property inspections to identify repair issues, prepare reports as required
  • Work with the supply chain to ensure value for money
  • Support with post inspections to ensure repairs are completed to a good standard
  • Assisting in Investigating and resolving customer complaints promptly and provide regular updates to the Complaints Team and resident
  • Provide client contact information to our Joint Ventures
  • Assist in managing the Subcontractor and Supplier's
  • To undergo training sessions as required to maintain up to date knowledge of building practice and property services and keep an up to date training log
  • To undertake additional tasks as requested by the Senior Cyclical Surveyor
  • To work towards a post graduate qualification in Building services
  • Provide back room support in presentation or setup of date tables and output calculations
  • To utilize and present information held within various bespoke software systems.

More about you:


  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A
  • C)
  • Good working knowledge of IT including Excel and PowerPoint and ability to produce clear letters and reports
  • Good understanding of Building Structures and Systems
  • Hold a full driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Able to accommodate work and study to achieve goals in both areas.
